Billing Q&A: Combine Matters

I have a client that has several matters. Is there any way to display a total for all of their matters on their statement?

The Combine Matters option will combine all selected matters on a statement, and display a Total Balance Due line at the end of the combined matters.

To combine matters on a statement

  1. In the Quick Launch, search for and select “Client Information.”
  2. Select one of the matters you want to be combined.
  3. On the Statement Options tab, in the Statement Format section, select the Combine Matters check box.
  4. Press Ctrl+S.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 for each matter you want to combine.

Note: If different timekeepers are assigned to each matter, you must select a Sort Order of None when generating statements in order for the statements to be combined.
